Was his crime that of love for Allah and for the poor ones
With Quran on their lips and a sword in their hands
They wounded and they murdered
They bore the curse their hearts were sealed
To vanity surrendered
No turning back no change of heart
Against Allah offended

Oh eternal is the struggle
All the battles faught within
Through the door into the city
Lays a path away from sin
In the heart that beats for Ali
Theres a light born of his flame
An ark unto salvation for a world bereft in pain.
A mercy to mankind that all humanity can claim.
