Today we tell of a secret of light, shining down through the ages,
Of a flower of purity who dwells in every heart.
O Princess of Qom, O light of this land,
O Karima of the Household, O purity of faith.
She is Fatima al-Ma’sumah — the fairest of all names,
Daughter of al-Kadhim, a light that lifts every sorrow.
Born in Medina, in purity and grace,
In her, the light of mercy; in her, the beauty of hope.
A sister to al-Ridha, a full moon on a luminous night,
Her mother is Najma — a heart both pure and great.
Knowledge and patience, a light that never fades,
And worship as gentle as the dawning light.
In her veil is shelter, in her modesty is grace,
In her purity is a path, a path toward perfection.
In the year 201 of the Hijra, she departed by the will of the Merciful,
In Qom, she rests — a sanctuary of the highest majesty.
We come to you in longing, O light of every heart,
O model of purity, O way of all our ways.
