In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate
O Allah, Send your choicest blessing on Muhammad(S) and his Family(A)
and fortify the frontiers of the Muslims through Your might,
and support their protectors through Your strength,
and lavish upon them gifts through Your wealth.
O Allah, Send your choicest blessing on Muhammad(S) and his Family(A)
And increase their number, and hone their weapons,
and guard their territory, and defend their midst,
and unite their people, and arrange their affairs,
and send them supplies in a steady stream, and undertake to provide them with sufficient provisions from Yourself,
and support them with victory, and help them with patience,
and give them subtlety in their plans!
O Allah, Send your choicest blessing on Muhammad(S) and his Family(A)
And give them the knowledge of that of which they are ignorant,
and teach them what they do not know,
and show them what they do not see!
O Allah, Send your choicest blessing on Muhammad(S) and his Family(A)
And make them forget when they meet the enemy ...
... to remember this cheating and delusive world of theirs,
and erase from their hearts the thought of its enchanting possessions,
and place the Garden before their eyes,
and display to their sight that part of it which You have prepared for them ...
... from the homes of everlastingness and mansions of honour,
to the beautiful companions, and the rivers ...
... gushing forth with all sorts of drinks, to the trees hanging low ...
... bearing all manner of fruits -
lest any of them think of turning their back ...
... or suggest to themselves to flee the enemy.
Oh Allah, defeat their enemy through that;
trim their nails from them,
and separate them from their weapons,
and remove all the confidence from their hearts,
and ensure their supplies are distant from them,
and bewilder them in their roads,
and turn them astray from their desired destination,
prevent reinforcements from reaching them, and cut them down in number,
and fill their hearts with terror and dread,
hold back their hands from stretching forth (making progress),
tie back their tongues from speaking (render them dumbstruck)
and scatter by them, the ones behind them
and make them a lesson for those who come up behind them (their backups),
and through their degradation; cut off the hopes of those who come after them.
Oh Allah, make the wombs of their women barren,
and dry up the loins of their men,
and cut off the breeding of their mounts and their cattle,
and do not permit the sky to allow them even a drop (of rain) (inflict them with a drought),
nor their earth to grow and yield crops (create a famine in their midst).
O Allah, through that; strengthen the prowess of the People of Islam,
and fortify their cities, increase their wealth and property,
give them respite from their fighting, that they may worship You,
and from their warfare, that they may spend some time with you in solitude,
so that none will be worshipped in the regions of the earth except You
and no forehead of theirs maybe rubbed in the dust for less than You!
O Allah, send out the Muslims of every region ...
... on raids against the idolaters who confront and attack them.
and reinforce them with Angels in ranks from You,
till the idolaters are routed by them to the end of the land,
slain in Your earth or taken captive,
or till they admit that You are Allah,
other than whom there is no god, You alone, and You have no associate!
Oh Allah, include in this Your enemies;
in the various regions of the lands, and the rest of the idolatrous nations,
those whose names and attributes are concealed,
but whom You are aware of through Your perfect and manifest awareness,
and who You oversee through Your absolute power.
Oh Allah, keep the idolaters busy with each other ...
... so that they stay away from the vicinity of the Muslims,
and prevent them from causing harm through being harmed,
and hold them back from massing together against them through dissension.
Oh Allah, empty their hearts of security,
and their bodies of strength,
and distract their hearts from thinking of stratagems,
and make their limbs too feeble for clashing with men,
and make them too cowardly for contending with champions,
and send against them a troop of Your angels ...
... with some of Your severity as You did on the Day of Badr,
so that through it; You may cut off their roots and harvest their thorns,
and disperse their number, mix their waters ...
... with pestilence, and their food with maladies,
and tear down their cities,
and harass them with peltings, and hinder them through droughts,
and place their supplies in the most ill-omened part of Your earth ...
... and the farthest from them, and bar them from its fortresses,
and strike them down with an undying hunger and a severe illness!
Oh Allah, if a warrior from the people of Your nation wages wars against them,
or a struggler from the followers of Your Teachings; struggles against them ...
... so that Your religion may be the highest, and Your party the strongest,
and Your share the most complete - cast ease to him, and arrange his affair,
and attend to him by ensuring his success, and select his companions for him,
and strengthen his back, and lavish upon him ...
... livelihood, give him enjoyment of joyous vitality,
and cool for him the fire of yearning,
and give him sanctuary from the gloom of loneliness,
and make him forget the remembrance of his wife and child,
and pass along to him a perfect intent,
and attend to him with well-being, make safety his constant companion,
and remove all cowardice from him, and inspire him with valour and bravery,
and provide him with strength, and support him with help,
and teach him right conduct and the norms of the Way,
and point him straight in judgment, and remove from him hypocrisy,
and purify him from seeking fame,
and make his thinking and remembering, his departing ...
... and his staying, be in Your name and for You alone.
Then when he stands in ranks before Your enemy and his enemy,
so make them few in his eyes, and diminish their importance ...
... in his heart. Allow him to prevail over them and do not let them prevail over him!
But if You choose to grant him success ...
… and decree for him, martyrdom ...
... then let it be after he has secured the borders of the Muslims ...
... and after Your enemy has turned back in retreat.
Oh Allah, and if a Muslim should take the place ...
... of a warrior or a soldier in his home, or attends to those left ...
... behind in his absence ...
... or helps him with some of his wealth,
or assists him with equipment, or prepares him for the struggle,
or makes a supplication or prayer for his purpose,
or guards his honour during his absence,
so reward him with the like of his reward, measure for measure,
and like for like,
and recompense him for his act with an immediate compensation ...
... through which he will hasten to the profit of what he has sent forth ...
... and the joy of what he has given, till the present ...
... moment takes him to the bounty that You have granted him from Your majesty,
and that which You have prepared for him from Your infinite generosity!
Oh Allah, if the situation of Islam should worry or concern a Muslim ...
... and the alliance of the idolaters against Islam depresses him ...
... so that he has the intent to go to war, or is about to enter the struggle ...
... but frailty keeps him seated, or poverty keeps him waiting ...
... or an unforeseen mishap delays him,
... or an obstruction prevents him from his wish/desire ...
... be sure to write his name amongst the righteous worshippers ...
... and make incumbent for him the reward of the strugglers ...
... and place him firmly in the ranks of the martyrs and the righteous.
Oh Allah, bless Muhammad(S), Your slave and Your messenger,
... and the Family of Muhammad(A), with a blessing ...
... high above all other blessings, that towers above all other salutations,
... a most perfect blessing that is never-ending...
... and whose size can never be computed ...
... like the most perfect of Your blessings that have passed ...
... to any one of Your friends and loved ones!
Surely, You are Most Generous, Most Praiseworthy, the Originator ...
... who takes back again, the Accomplisher of what You desire,
By Your Mercy, Oh Most Merciful of all the Merciful,
And send your choicest blessings, on our master, Muhammad(S) ...
... and upon his pure and most perfect Family(A).
